Concert Flutist – Professor

Born in Istanbul and based in Paris, Ece Selin Yüksel is a flutist performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral artist. She also serves as Assistant Teacher at École Normale de Musique de Paris.
 
As a soloist, she has appeared with the Baden-Baden Philharmonie, the National Conservatory Orchestra of Mersin University, and the Cemal Reşit Rey Youth Chamber Orchestra. She made her solo debut at the age of 18 with Aram Khachaturian’s Flute Concerto. Her orchestral work also includes the Orchestre de Palais Royal, the Berlin Opera Academy, and the Orchestre Philharmonique Métamorphoses.
 
She performs in France and internationally, notably in Italy, Germany, England, and across Europe. In Paris, she has appeared at venues such as Salle Gaveau, Cirque d’Hiver, La Madeleine, Petit Palais, and Théâtre de la Concorde. She has also performed at festivals including the Just Flutes Festival and the 6th Flute Convention. Her artistic work also includes performances on piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute.
 
Awarded in several competitions in France, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, she has received distinctions at the British Flute Society Flute Competition, the Auguste Holmès Competition, the 1st Izmir National Flute Competition, and the AKOB Chamber Music Competition. In 2025, she was a finalist at the Moyse Competition in Bulgaria and a semi-finalist at the Dutch and Cimarosa competitions.
 
She graduated from the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot with the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste / Artist Diploma in the class of Jean Ferrandis, receiving the distinction Très Bien, along with the jury’s congratulations and unanimous approval. She is currently continuing her studies in the DNSPM and Diplôme d’État programs at Pôle Supérieur de Boulogne-Billancourt / Sorbonne University in the class of Vincent Lucas.
 
She also completed a Master’s degree at the Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, in the class of Halit Turgay, with a thesis entitled “Contemporary Flutist-Composer Ian Clarke’s Contribution to Flute Playing Art and Literature.” She is currently pursuing a doctorate at Istanbul University, with research focused on the process of performance preparation.
 
Her artistic development has been shaped through masterclasses with William Bennett, Emmanuel Pahud, Juliette Hurel, Julien Beaudiment, Emily Beynon, Carol Wincenc, Andreas Blau, Petri Alanko, Mario Caroli, and Lorna McGhee. Her first album, Cappadocia by Halit Turgay, was released in 2025.
 
She also teaches at École Prizma de Boulogne-Billancourt, Musique des Étoiles, and the Académie Inter Musicale de Paris. She is the founder of Paris Flute Studio.
